OBJECTIVE
The Directors intend to establish D’Tiara as a recognised developer and operator of high quality hotel and resorts throughout the tropical countries.
STRATEGY
The Directors intend to achieve these objectives through:-
- Leveraging the D’Tiara brand:
The design and planning of each of the Group’s developments is carried out by in-house consultants to ensure continuity across each development. The Directors believe this will help D’Tiara be recognised as a quality developer of family-oriented assets. - Extensive research and planning:
Prior to commencing a development the Group undertakes extensive research and planning, including reviewing the surrounding resorts and facilities; local preferences; resort’s catchment area and legislative and regulatory requirements. - Diversify geographically:
The Directors believe the Group’s resort operations are suitable to be established in other South-east Asian countries providing a family-oriented resort within close proximity to a significant population catchment area. - Partnering opportunities:
The Directors believe that in some countries a partner will be able to add significant value to the Group’s plans to develop additional resorts. Partners have already been identified in [Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia] and the Directors believe that there are opportunities to bring the Company’s resort concept to other markets, such as Philippines, Vietnam and India in conjunction with appropriate partners. - Asset-light balance sheet:
The Directors believe that by adopting the sale and leaseback model and focus on management contracts and franchising agreements, the Group not only able to realise the development profits and reducing its investment in owned real estate, it further allows the group to focus on activities that are able to generate recurring income. In the longer term, the Directors anticipate receiving a stable and steady stream of cash flow from active management of resort properties that it creates as well as receiving a stream of branding, licensing fees, development fees in exchange for the use of D’Tiara name and design, construction and operation expertise.
