Effective 1st April 2007, the foreign exchange administration rules will be liberalised and there will be no limit on the number of residential property loans obtained by foreigners.  Previously, foreigners were allowed to obtain a maximum of three (3) property loans to finance the purchase of properties in Malaysia.
